What would happen if you mixed roots and culture? You would come up with a soul inspiring aggregation like Village Drums of Freedom. For the past 30 years Drums of Freedom has stuck to its original blueprint of music made with conventional instruments, African drums and the only musical instrument invented in the 20 century-The Steel Pan. During these last two decades, its roots have spread over land and sea with a band based in Trinidad and Tobago and one in New York City. Sound Session is blessed to have both camps present at the 2007 festival.
